Good to know
- Work and parts are listed in the language of the country where the repair was performed.
- For the Asia region there may be few records — proceed only if that is acceptable.
- If the report contains data other than pre-sale preparation, the report is considered informational.
What PR-number decoding shows
Every Volkswagen is coded at the factory with a set of PR-numbers — three-character codes that record literally everything: from body colour and upholstery to which engine and equipment package were originally fitted. These codes are printed on a special sticker in the car, but they are impossible to read without decoding.
The report translates your VIN’s PR-numbers into a clear equipment list — you immediately see whether what is stated in the advert matches what is recorded in the factory database.

Recall campaigns by VIN
Volkswagen periodically announces technical campaigns for individual VINs — for example, control-unit software updates (SWaP) or a part replacement under a safety programme.
The report shows whether there are open campaigns for your car and what needs to be done to close them.
