Li Auto launches 2026 Li i6 in China: upgraded hardware and starting at 35,800 USD
On October 28, 2026, Li Auto officially launched the 2026 model year Li i6 (Li 6). The new vehicle is priced at 249,800 yuan (37,300 USD), with a limited-time introductory price of 239,800 yuan (35,800 USD). The 2026 Li i6 does not use CATL batteries and is 10,000 yuan (1,500 USD) cheaper than the current i6.
The 2026 Li i6 introduces hardware upgrades, most notably the integration of ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) headlights and the company’s proprietary “Mach M100” chip, which powers its intelligent driving assistance system. Inside the cabin, the vehicle is now equipped with the Qualcomm 8797 cockpit chip.
With the addition of dual zero-gravity front seats and an electric front trunk, Li Auto plans to offer existing Li i6 owners a paid upgrade path for the electric front trunk, with details to be released in December. Other premium features include a 29-inch 6K panoramic front screen, a 21-inch 4K rear entertainment screen, and an onboard refrigerator capable of cooling down to -6°C.
Design and dimensions
The 2026 model maintains the brand’s pure electric design language, featuring the “shark” front fascia and “star ring” headlights. The exterior palette has been expanded with the addition of Mint Green and Purple. The side profile retains its dynamic fastback silhouette, now updated with semi-hidden door handles.
The vehicle measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. While the length, width, and wheelbase remain unchanged from the previous model, the height has been slightly reduced.
Powertrain and range
Performance is bolstered by Li Auto’s self-developed 96 kWh “Lianshan” 5C battery. The vehicle is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations:
-
Single-motor version: Maximum power of 250 kW (335 hp).
-
Dual-motor version: Front motor 150 kW (201 hp) and rear motor 250 kW (335 hp).
The rear-wheel-drive version now boasts a CLTC range of 780 km (~632 km WLTP), up from 720 km (~583 km WLTP), while the four-wheel-drive version has been extended to 710 km (~575 km WLTP).
