Why the mileage of an imported Korean car deserves a second look
An odometer is just a number on the dashboard; it is not tied to any database. On the way from a Korean auction to a used-car listing the car passes through several hands, and at any point that number can be adjusted. The seller's paperwork is no help either — it does not cover the Korean part of the history at all.
Insurance records cannot be rewritten that way. They are tied to the car and stay in Korean databases regardless of what the dashboard says. The report does not print a mileage figure, but it does show how the car lived — which is exactly what an odometer rollback is meant to hide.
