What’s New With Every 2027 Audi Car: Updates, Changes, and New Models
Audi’s car lineup is in an interesting place for 2027, with some models settling into fresh generations and others receiving meaningful technology, equipment, or performance updates. There’s also a redesigned performance car, a returning wagon, and at least one notable departure. Read on for everything changing across Audi’s 2027 car lineup-and a glimpse at what’s coming next.
2027 Audi A3, S3, and RS3
After updates over the past two model years, Audi’s smallest sedans appear set for another round of changes for 2027. Global-market A3, S3, and RS3 models receive a redesigned cockpit with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.8-inch touchscreen, replacing the current U.S. models’ 12.3-inch driver display and 10.1-inch touchscreen. A revised center console adds a faster 25-watt wireless phone charger, while the steering wheel gains a physical scroll control.
The global update also brings expanded driver assistance including adaptive cruise assist plus, trained parking, and remote parking, along with new selectable daytime running light signatures. The S3 and RS3 receive their own lighting designs and model-specific grille badges. Audi has not yet confirmed which of these changes will reach U.S.-market 2027 models.

2027 Audi A5 and S5
Fresh off a full redesign, the A5 and S5 enter 2027 with a simplified lineup. Audi replaces the previous three-trim structure with a single core trim, leaving buyers to add equipment through Driver Assistance, Executive, and Vorsprung packages. The latter combines the other two packages with extras such as a 10.9-inch passenger display, heated rear seats, remote parking capability, and a surround-view camera system.
The A5 also gains a new Sport Plus package with adaptive S sport suspension, sport seats, red interior accents and brake calipers, and 20-inch wheels with summer tires. The S5 offers similar revised packaging, while its Executive package adds features including ventilated and massaging Nappa leather front seats.

2027 Audi A6 and A6 Allroad
The big news for 2027 is the redesigned A6 Allroad, which Audi has confirmed will return to the U.S. Based on the sixth-gen A6, the wagon gets substantially wider bodywork, standard Quattro AWD, adaptive air suspension with about 2.2 inches of total height adjustment, dedicated Offroad driving modes, and available four-wheel steering. Audi has not yet announced the U.S. powertrain, though the sedan’s 362-hp V-6 appears to be the most likely choice.
The sedan, fresh off its own redesign for 2026, also gets a meaningful equipment shuffle. A 360-degree camera and heated steering wheel become standard, while revised Driver Assistance, Executive, and Vorsprung packages add features such as a head-up display, integrated dashcam, passenger display, upgraded Bang & Olufsen audio, adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering, OLED taillights, and power soft-close doors. New options also include enhanced parking assistance, an Air Quality package, and upgraded LED headlights with selectable daytime running light signatures.

2027 Audi A6 E-Tron and S6 E-Tron
The A6 E-Tron lineup gets a significant technology and usability update for 2027. Audi revises the MMI interface with cleaner graphics, fewer menus, and deeper smartphone integration, while the steering wheel gains physical scroll wheels. Voice controls are upgraded, one-pedal braking is retuned for more efficient regeneration, and a new Power Nap mode is designed to make charging stops more comfortable.
Equipment and packaging change, as well. A new Technology package bundles the augmented-reality head-up display and 10.9-inch passenger screen, while Prestige models add Audi Drive Select Assistant, remote-capable Park Assist Pro, rear emergency braking, digital OLED taillights, a 360-degree camera with 3D view, and an Air Quality package. The S6 E-Tron also adds a new Dynamic Plus drive mode and an available Audi Exclusive Design package.

2027 Audi A8 L and S8
Audi’s flagship sedans receive only minor changes for 2027. The A8 L adds two new 21-inch wheel choices, including a matte-gold design, while otherwise carrying over its familiar luxury and technology offerings. The current generation was last substantially updated for 2022, with Audi making mostly smaller equipment and package revisions since then.
The performance-oriented S8 likewise returns with few changes, gaining a new 21-inch wheel option with the Black Optic package. It continues to pair a 563-hp twin-turbo V-8 with Quattro AWD and performance-oriented chassis hardware, offering a much quicker and more engaging alternative to the comfort-focused A8 L.

2027 Audi RS5
The RS5 is completely redesigned for 2027, entering its third generation with a dramatically more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain. Its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 now works with an electric motor for 630 hp and 609 lb-ft of torque, up from 444 hp and 442 lb-ft in the outgoing RS5. A new Quattro system adds an electromechanical rear differential that can more aggressively distribute power across the rear axle, while Audi also reinforces the chassis and fits adaptive sport suspension.
The new RS5 is larger and substantially heavier than its predecessor, with aggressively flared bodywork and available carbon-ceramic brakes. Inside, the previous 10.1-inch touchscreen gives way to a 14.5-inch unit paired with an 11.9-inch driver display, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display is also available. RS-specific performance and track-logging functions are integrated into the screens. The U.S. will again receive the practical Sportback body style but not the RS5 Avant offered overseas.

2027 Audi RS6 Avant Performance
Audi has not announced specific U.S.-market changes for the 2027 RS6 Avant Performance, so its exact status remains unclear. The current model was last significantly updated for 2024, when the Performance treatment raised output from its twin-turbo V-8 to 621 hp and 627 lb-ft and added weight-saving and chassis revisions.
A next-generation RS6 is already in development globally and appears likely to adopt an electrified powertrain, but Audi has not revealed the production model or confirmed when it will reach the U.S. Until then, the existing RS6 Avant Performance remains Audi’s most recent high-performance wagon offering here.

2027 Audi S E-Tron GT and RS E-Tron GT Performance
Audi’s electric grand tourers return for 2027 with no significant changes announced. The lineup continues with the 670-hp S E-Tron GT and 912-hp RS E-Tron GT Performance, both using a 105-kWh battery and supporting DC fast charging at up to 320 kW.
The E-Tron GT family received its last major overhaul for 2025, when Audi introduced both current models with more power, a larger battery, faster charging, and substantial chassis upgrades. Smaller changes followed for 2026, including standard all-wheel steering for the S E-Tron GT and new wheels and interior choices for the RS E-Tron GT Performance.

Audi Nuvolari: Future model
Audi’s next halo car is already taking shape in the form of the Nuvolari, a mid-engine hybrid supercar we think could be a 2028 model. It combines a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with three electric motors for a claimed 987 hp, making it the most powerful production Audi yet. The engine itself revs to 10,000 rpm, and Audi says the Nuvolari should reach 60 mph in less than 2.6 seconds and exceed 217 mph.
The Nuvolari also previews Audi’s new design direction, borrowing cues from the Concept C while incorporating active aerodynamics, carbon-fiber body panels, and F1-inspired hybrid and regenerative braking technology. Production will be limited to 499 examples, and although Audi has not formally confirmed U.S. production, we expect some cars to reach this market.

Audi RS7 Performance: Discontinued
The RS7 Performance is discontinued for 2027, ending the last remaining member of Audi’s previous A7 family in the U.S. The regular A7 and S7 departed after 2025, while the 621-hp RS7 survived for one additional model year. Audi has not announced a successor, but the redesigned RS5 now occupies some of the same high-performance fastback territory.
