2027 Subaru SUV Lineup Guide: Every Gas, Hybrid, and Electric Model Explained

Subaru’s rapid EV expansion continues for 2027 with the arrival of the all-new Getaway, a three-row electric SUV that becomes the largest battery-powered model in the brand’s lineup. The Forester family grows, too, with a new Wilderness Hybrid that combines improved efficiency with Subaru’s more rugged equipment.

Beyond those additions, Subaru’s SUV lineup sees a mix of smaller updates, carryover models, and familiar nameplates settling into recently redesigned forms. Here’s what changes—and what doesn’t—for every 2027 Subaru SUV.

2027 Subaru Ascent

The Ascent receives a handful of small updates for 2027. Subaru adds an interior-light shutoff switch, USB-C ports for third-row passengers, and an LED cargo-area light on Limited and Limited Bronze Edition trims. The color palette also changes, with Daybreak Blue Pearl replacing Sapphire Blue Pearl and Deepwater Blue Pearl joining as an Ascent-specific finish.

2027 Subaru Crosstrek

The Crosstrek lineup shifts slightly for 2027, with the gas-only Sport trim dropped and the trim name now reserved for hybrid models. Limited Hybrid versions also gain a standard power moonroof. Paint choices change, too: Tidepool Teal Pearl replaces Alpine Green, Sapphire Blue Pearl becomes hybrid-only, and Ignition Red takes the place of Pure Red and Lithium Red Pearl.

2027 Subaru Forester

The Forester lineup expands with the first-ever Wilderness Hybrid joining the gas-only Wilderness in the lineup. It pairs Subaru’s 194-hp hybrid system with 9.3 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, revised suspension tuning, and dual-function X-Mode, and promises up to 25 percent better fuel economy than the gas-powered Forester Wilderness.

2027 Subaru Getaway

The all-new Getaway joins Subaru’s lineup for 2027 as the brand’s largest and most spacious electric SUV. With three rows of seating for up to seven passengers, it effectively serves as an electric counterpart to the Ascent and expands Subaru’s EV range beyond the Uncharted, Solterra, and Trailseeker.

Dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard, producing 420 hp, and Subaru estimates more than 300 miles of range. The Getaway also offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance, up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity, and a large 14.0-inch touchscreen. Pricing has not been announced, but the Getaway is likely to become Subaru’s most expensive SUV when it arrives.

2027 Subaru Outback

Following a complete redesign for 2026, the Subaru Outback is expected to carry over with few, if any, changes for 2027. The latest generation brought a boxier, less wagonlike exterior, a more spacious and modern cabin, updated infotainment and driver assistance technology, and revised powertrain tuning.

2027 Subaru Solterra

Subaru largely leaves the Solterra alone for 2027, which makes sense given the electric SUV’s extensive overhaul one year earlier. The 2026 update delivered stronger performance, longer range, refreshed styling, and a more modern interior anchored by a larger touchscreen.

The 2027 model returns without meaningful revisions, and its base price stays unchanged. That continuity gives the Solterra another year to capitalize on the improvements that made it more competitive.

2027 Subaru Trailseeker

After joining Subaru’s electric lineup for 2026, the Trailseeker returns for its second model year without significant changes. It retains its 375-hp dual-motor powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, roomy cabin and cargo area, and up to 281 miles of range. Subaru also keeps the Trailseeker’s $39,995 starting price intact for 2027.

2027 Subaru Uncharted

The Uncharted enters its second model year with no meaningful updates. Subaru’s smallest electric SUV keeps the same trim structure, available all-wheel drive, and range figures introduced with the 2026 model.

Pricing also carries over unchanged for 2027, allowing the Uncharted to maintain its position as the most affordable entry in Subaru’s expanding EV lineup.
