Voyah Dream 9 flagship MPV with 701 km range set to launch on September 22
Dongfeng‘s Voyah has officially announced that its new flagship MPV, the Voyah Dream 9, will hit the market on September 22. The vehicle, which has already opened for pre-sale with a price range of 429,900–529,900 yuan (63,200–77,900 USD), has secured over 30,000 refundable orders within the first 48 hours.
According to Voyah, the Dream 9 is set to be the first model to feature the “Huju P” chassis, China’s first independently developed intelligent chassis specifically designed for flagship MPVs
Design and dimensions
The Dream 9’s front fascia features a “Dragon Scale” vertical chrome grille and a retractable, illuminated hood ornament. It is equipped with Huawei Xpixel smart projection headlights. Interior and technology
The cabin is powered by the HarmonySpace6 cockpit system. The second row offers “aviation-grade” seats with zero-gravity mode, mechanical massage, and the ability to rotate for face-to-face seating configurations. Passengers also benefit from a built-in refrigerator, folding screens, and tray tables. Both the second and third rows feature adaptive dimming glass.
The vehicle is built on an L3-level intelligent architecture, utilising 37 sensors – including one 896-line LiDAR and three high-precision solid-state LiDARs – to support Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system.
Powertrain and performance
The Dream 9 is built on an 800V high-voltage platform across all variants, supporting 5C fast charging (20%–80% in 12 minutes).
-
PHEV: Features a 1.5T engine paired with dual electric motors, delivering a combined power output of 555 kW (744 hp). It is equipped with a 65 kWh battery, offering a WLTC pure electric range of up to 300 km.
-
BEV: Equipped with front and rear motors producing 175 kW (235 hp) and 300 kW (402 hp), respectively. It features a 120 kWh ternary battery, providing a CLTC range of 701 km (568 km WLTP).
The “Huju P” Intelligent Chassis
The newly unveiled Huju P chassis enhances driving dynamics through:
-
Suspension: Front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension with hydraulic bushings.
-
Control: A three-chamber air suspension system with four-level stiffness adjustment (150% range) and dual-valve EDC dampers for millisecond-level response.
