2026 Mercedes-Benz SUVs: Small Changes Add Up
Details make these luxury SUVs a little more appealing than last year.
At the bottom of this article, you’ll see we list most of Mercedes-Benz' 2026 SUVs as “Unchanged.” That’s the terminology we use when a vehicle continues into a new model year without any updates, or with updates that are inconsequential to the fundamental hardware or overall driving experience.
The case here is none of the former and all the latter—every 2026 Mercedes gets a variety of small changes that give customers more choices. Read through the details to see all the new ways you can order your ideal Mercedes SUV.
2026 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class
Inside, the GLA-Class can be equipped with greenish Sage Gray and black upholstery. The Sun & Sound package adds a panoramic sunroof and upgraded speakers. Outside, the AMG Line Lite package is a new no-cost option that adds sporty 19-inch wheels and a rear spoiler. Building on the Night package and its black exterior accents, there’s the GLA Midnight Edition, which has black 20-inch AMG wheels and omits the rear model badge.
On the AMG GLA35, the AMG Design Package Plus adds Alpine Gray paint, Night Package Plus black exterior trim, 19-inch AMG wheels, and red brake calipers.

2026 Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class
Changes to the GLB for 2026 mirror those made to the GLA. Sage Gray upholstery and the AMG Line Lite package are available for no extra cost. The Sun & Sound package bundles a sunroof and premium speakers. For a darker aesthetic, the Night Package and Midnight Edition are available.
The AMG Design Package Plus with Alpine Gray paint, black trim, and red calipers is offered on the GLB35.
A next-generation GLB will arrive soon, potentially for 2027. Expect the new GLB to retain a boxy profile and up to three rows of seats but have similar design cues and features as those of the new CLA-Class sedan. A smoother body accentuated by light bars front and rear will differentiate the exterior, and the cabin will have upgrades to technology and luxury features.

2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class
On Mercedes’ popular compact SUV, 19-inch wheels are offered as a no-cost upgrade over the standard 18-inchers. Black Fine Structure interior trim is also introduced. On the Exclusive and Pinnacle trims, online music and video streaming are added to the infotainment. The AMG Lite Plus package includes 19- or 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a rear spoiler.
These changes apply to the GLC Coupe, as well, aside from the 19-inch wheels and AMG Lite Plus package—it has those as standard already.
GLC AMG models get the music and video streaming, optional Black Fine Structure trim, and an additional AMG logo on the center console.

Moonlight White Magno (matte) and Silicon Gray paints become available on the GLS450. On the GLS Maybach Night Series, new wheels, exterior colors, and design details are introduced. No changes are applied to the AMG GLS63.
Mercedes could be preparing an update to the GLS-Class for 2027. The big three-row SUV would still be based on the same mechanical fundamentals but would gain revised styling outside and perhaps new tech and features inside.

2026 Mercedes-Benz EQB-Class

2026 Mercedes-Benz EQE-Class SUV
Although it looks the same as last year, the EQE-Class SUV gets some useful updates for 2026. It’s now offered in EQE 320+ and EQE 320 4Matic specifications, which are more powerful than the EQE 350+ and EQE 350 4Matic they replace despite the smaller badge numbers. These are offered with the high-tech Hyperscreen as optional equipment. Additionally, a NACS charging adapter is included, so the EQE SUV can plug in at Tesla Supercharger stations. Two new digital driving sounds are added, called Fractal Fusion and Granular Fuzz. Models equipped with the AMG Line Exterior get wheel arches painted to match the body color, rather than black plastic.

2026 Mercedes-Benz EQS-Class SUV
Like the smaller EQE SUV, the larger EQS SUV gets smaller numerical badging for 2026; the EQS 400 replaces the EQS 450, and the EQS 550 replaces the EQS 580. Standard equipment increases, however, as the second-row seats gain heating, plush headrests, a wireless charging pad in the armrest, and side airbags. Additionally, the EQS SUV can now be painted Patagonia Red Metallic. A NACS adapter improves access to public fast chargers. Fractal Fusion and Granular Fuzz synthetic motor soundtracks can now play through the speakers.
The EQS SUV Maybach also gains Patagonia Red and the new digital soundtracks. An extended leather option is available for all upholsteries, and 22-inch seven-spoke wheels are introduced.

2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC EV
Beyond its name, the new GLC EV shares nothing with the gas-powered GLC. The body looks somewhat similar, but the EV’s huge, LED-bedazzled grille and taillight bar are a departure from its conventional counterpart. The EV is larger, too. Inside, the 2027 GLC EV shows off Mercedes’ next-gen design approaches and technology features. The full-width dashboard display looks massive and impressive. Vegan leather upholstery is also on offer.
There’s plenty of power available from the single- and dual-motor powertrains, both of which are coupled with a battery that charges much faster than Mercedes’ earlier EVs.
Count on the new 2027 GLC EV to preview what’s to come from Mercedes’ future SUVs, whether they’re powered by electricity or gas.

2027 Mercedes-Benz “Baby” G-Class
Mercedes has confirmed that it's working on a smaller version of the G-Class SUV. Tentatively referred to as the “baby” G-Class or perhaps g-Class, the vehicle is expected to be smaller than its iconic counterpart but share boxy styling and real off-road capability. It is unclear what will power it—gas, hybrid, or electric—and how much less expensive it might be than the costly G-Class. Expect more details to come to light in 2026.
2027 Mercedes-Benz AMG EV SUV
AMG is working on its own all-electric platform to support a future generation of high-performance EVs. Known as AMG.EA, it will be scalable to support different vehicle types. At least one SUV based on AMG.EA is in development, likely to sport compact yet powerful axial-flux motors and rapid recharging capabilities. Look at the AMG GT XX concept sedan for clues about what the related SUV could be like.
