2027 Zeekr 7X revealed in Chinese filings with 496 hp motor and new LFP battery
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has approved a new LFP version of the Zeekr 7X, aligning with earlier company announcements that an 85 kWh Golden Brick battery variant will arrive in Q4. The filing confirms the battery production enterprise, a 370 kW motor and other key hardware. In contrast, the ministry’s initial filing does not list the battery’s kilowatt-hour capacity or an official driving range.
The filing follows our earlier reporting on the upcoming 85 kWh Zeekr 7X, which identified the battery as part of the 2027 model-year update.
370 kW motor and new LFP hardware
The approved variant uses a TZ230XYC04 permanent-magnet synchronous motor manufactured by Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. Its rear-mounted motor produces 370 kW (496 hp), and it includes a factory-installed Event Data Recorder (EDR).
The certified 4,825 mm length, 2,925 mm wheelbase and 370 kW output are the same as those of the existing rear-wheel-drive Zeekr 7X. The most notable hardware detail in the filing is the battery production enterprise, with Zhejiang Jiyao Tongxing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. listed for the new LFP configuration.
The filing also lists optional front four-piston fixed brake callipers and multiple wheel, brake-calliper, bumper, dual-tone roof, roof-rack, rear hatch, exterior badging, B-pillar identification and exterior-mirror configurations. An ETC onboard device is also available as an option. The vehicle is certified with a five-seat configuration.
The 85 kWh capacity was previously reported for the planned variant but is not stated in the initial MIIT homologation document. The ministry’s data also do not list an official CLTC range, energy-consumption rating, charging specification or curb weight for this configuration.

How it fits the 7X lineup
The existing 75 kWh LFP version delivers up to 620 km CLTC (approximately 520 km WLTP). In comparison, the 103 kWh ternary version reaches 802 km CLTC (approximately 675 km WLTP) in single-motor form and 715 km CLTC (approximately 600 km WLTP) with all-wheel drive. The WLTP figures are editorial estimates because official WLTP ratings are not published for these China-market configurations.
The planned 85 kWh pack sits between those existing battery capacities, but its certified energy efficiency and range ratings have not been published yet.
The Zeekr 7X has reached 200,000 units produced globally, while the new version remains scheduled for Q4 2026. The production milestone covers the 7X line as a whole and does not establish customer deliveries of the new variant.
The current Zeekr 7X is priced from 229,800 yuan (34,244 USD) to 269,800 yuan (40,205 USD) in China. These prices apply to the current model and do not establish pricing for the 2027 version.
Sales and September incentives
According to China EV DataTracker, the Zeekr 7X recorded 6,415 domestic retail registrations in July 2026, rebounding 87.1% month on month from June’s 3,429 units and rising 12.4% year on year. That followed 3,344 units in May, marking a sharp July rebound after several months of lower volumes.
Zeekr’s September purchase campaign for the current 7X runs from September 1 through September 30, covering the model currently on sale in China. Eligible buyers placing a 5,000 yuan (745 USD) deposit can receive a 10,000 yuan (1,490 USD) insurance subsidy, subject to the campaign’s purchase terms. Additional financing, price-reduction and equipment-related benefits are also available under the campaign, depending on vehicle configuration and applicable conditions.
The incentives apply to the current model and do not establish pricing or purchase terms for the upcoming version.
The filing establishes the core hardware configuration, while Zeekr has yet to publish the new variant’s final battery capacity, range, energy-consumption rating, charging specifications or pricing.
